degrees in Birmingham

A GREAT PLACE TO BE

As befits a city which built its wealth on metalworking, Birmingham is the birthplace of heavy metal, generating bands like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and one half of Led Zeppelin. But that is by no means its only legacy and local acts include Duran Duran, ELO, UB40, The Streets and indie acts Swim Deep and Peace.

Birmingham is home to over 6,500 students who are drawn to the city’s vibrancy and welcoming nature. With this in mind, it’s no surprise that Birmingham has a social life for everyone. From unique venues, warehouse parties in Digbeth to student saver club nights. There are plenty of music venues for you to head to, from large arenas to cosy pubs. Go to The Barclaycard Arena to see a global superstar, or if you want to check out the up-and-coming talent, they will be taking to the stage at the Hare & Hounds and Sunflower Lounge.
