KEEP IN TOUCH

If you have an early interview, you may have to wait several months before you enrol with us.

You can keep in touch during this period by coming along to one of our Taster Days or Easter Workshops. We also have other events happening and we will let you know of these. At these events you will be able to mix with other like-minded young creatives and get a feel of the college experience.

Each term we will send you a copy of access, our student magazine, which has lots of interesting articles covering music, games, media and events.

ENROLMENT

There are many advantages to enrolling early with the college, not least the peace of mind that the next steps of your learning journey are sorted.

Many of you will have pending results and early enrolment is conditional on these. If you enrol early, but do not get the required grades, you will be first on our list to come in and have a chat about your options. We are very flexible and there is usually a solution which means you can stay with the college.

Access Creative College starts enrolment from May and we will contact you then to let you know the next steps.

FRESHER'S WEEK

Your formal welcome to Access Creative College comes in Fresher’s Week at the beginning of September.

During this week you will be introduced to the college and to your course. You will also have opportunities to socialise and to take part in special Fresher’s Week activities.

INDUCTION
The start of your course forms an induction period where you will be introduced to the college, your course and its assessment requirements.
During this period you will take a Functional Skills initial assessment. These are purely to assess your current skills to allow the college to manage the delivery of teaching, learning and differentiation in the classroom, and the embedding of English and maths. These assessments are done online via BKSB.
RIGHT CHOICE

We want to make sure you are happy with the course you have chosen and we want to ensure it is the right one for you to succeed.

The first six weeks of the course are a Right Choice period whereby you will have opportunities to reassess your decision while we will offer solutions or alternatives.
