What is AVA?

Bristol Academy of Visual Arts (AVA) is an initiative created and led by Access Creative College Bristol. We’re working closely with the film, television, and media industries to ensure our Bristol media students (studying Film, Video and Photography / Animation and VFX / Graphic Design) are equipped with industry-relevant skills and experience, and are connected to the industry contacts they need to excel in creative careers.

AVA is the pinnacle of an industry-led learning environment where students engage in live projects, collaborate with industry professionals and develop essential skills for the evolving creative landscape.

We bridge the gap between education and industry by offering real-world experiences through live projects with top local businesses and creative professionals. Students collaborate with industry leaders, gaining hands-on experience that directly aligns with current trends and demands. Through these partnerships, students not only build valuable industry connections but also develop the critical skills needed to thrive in a competitive market, such as teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving.

Who benefits from AVA?
