Over the years, the program has become an integral part of Wise Productions’ mission, with apprentices progressing into long-term roles within the company. The program reflects our core values of dependability, enthusiasm, and a client-first approach, empowering apprentices to grow in a creative, supportive, and dynamic environment.

The post holder will work closely with the staging & furniture team, audio, lighting, site, & video technicians to create and deliver content that supports the company to meet the needs of our clients and accredited venues ensuring that we deliver excellence for every project.

This would suit a bright, self-motivated individual who enjoys working within a team and has a willingness to learn about how we operate within the events industry and use this knowledge to develop as a technician.

Desired skills required:

  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.

Please send a CV and covering letter to express your interest in this vacancy.

Joining Wise Productions as an apprentice is an exciting opportunity to be part of a creative and dynamic team that delivers unforgettable events. However, there are some key realities about the role that you need to be aware of:

  • A Hands-On Role: This role involves physical work, including loading and unloading equipment, preparing and maintaining event gear, and ensuring everything runs smoothly. You’ll need to be ready to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.
  • Challenging Hours: The events industry doesn’t stick to a 9-to-5 routine. Be prepared for early mornings, late nights, and weekend work as needed. Flexibility and reliability are a must!
  • Teamwork and Independence: You’ll work closely with a talented team, but you’ll also need to take initiative and manage tasks independently. Collaboration is essential, as is the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Technical Development: While no experience is required for an apprentice, you’ll need to be enthusiastic about learning event production basics like rigging, staging, and AV. A positive attitude toward acquiring new skills is essential.
  • Attention to Detail: From preparing equipment to ensuring health and safety compliance, a focus on quality and organisation is critical.
  • A Sense of Humour: Things don’t always go as planned in events, so a good sense of humour will help you handle the unexpected and keep team morale high. And yes, good taste in music is always a bonus!
  • Location and Transport: Our warehouse is based in Perivale, West London. Being in the warehouse working with the team is essential for the role and getting to and from the unit from across London can be expensive or time consuming.

By joining Wise Productions, you’ll become part of a supportive, employee-owned company that values enthusiasm, dependability, and collaboration. This is an opportunity to build a career in the live events industry while working with some of London’s most iconic venues
