Our L3 Esports course provides a comprehensive introduction to the industry, covering areas like coaching, events management, marketing, and performance analysis. You’ll gain skills in shoutcasting, health and well-being, and enterprise, while learning about strategies, branding, and live broadcasting. The curriculum blends sports, IT, and creativity, offering hands-on experience with live games and commentary. As you progress, you’ll deepen your understanding of the Esports ecosystem, preparing for diverse roles in this dynamic field, such as a professional player or organiser, with a strong focus on industry trends and professional development. On this course, you will get the opportunity to practise live broadcasting and shout-casting commentary with live games.Â
On our L3 Esports course, you’ll immerse yourself in competitive gaming through roles such as player, coach, or organiser. You’ll participate in Student Championships with the British Esports Federation for games like Rocket League, Valorant, and League of Legends, including opportunities in dedicated women’s leagues and national competitions. Collaborate with Graphic Design and Games Design students to create logos, branding, and game concepts. You’ll also explore health and performance analysis, using tools like heart rate monitors to study stress and promote well-being in professional Esports.

This internally assessed course is delivered and evaluated by teachers through marked coursework. Each year is currently made up of 4 projects covering 7 areas of the Esports industry, which then concludes with a final major project. These assignments are a balance of practical work, written reports, and presentations.
Our bespoke professional development programme aims to empower you to take your next steps into your future career. We achieve this by providing you with a three phase programme of lessons, projects and experiences designed to give you as much exposure to industry as possible.
Those who need to retake maths and/or English due to achieving a grade 3 or below will undertake 4 hours of maths and/or 3 hours of English a week. Learn more here.
