Career opportunities in film
The course sets you up for the working industry by providing hands-on experience and working with industry-standard equipment and techniques. After completing it, graduates leave with enough knowledge and contacts within the industry to begin freelancing or finding employment or apprenticeships in the industry.
The creative industries are growing rapidly, and there are many career opportunities in various sub-fields, including social media marketing, film and television production, journalism, and more. Here’s some more information about specific and relevant careers:
- Film Director: As a film director, you’re the artistic leader who translates the script into a cinematic masterpiece. You guide the cast and crew to create memorable performances and scenes that captivate audiences worldwide. This career is all about passion, creativity, and leadership.
- Director of Photography: Also known as the cinematographer, the Director of Photography is the artist who paints with light and shadow. They create the visual mood of the film, deciding how each scene will look on camera. It’s their keen eye that brings out the beauty in every shot, making us feel as if we’re part of the story.
- Television/Film/Video Producer: If you’ve ever dreamed of being the driving force behind a creative project, becoming a producer could be your calling.
