Level 3

This course will teach you about the creation and production of 2D and 3D games using the most relevant, industry standard software.

Entry Requirements

4 GCSEs at 9-4 (A*-C), including English

Two years

Qualification

RSL Level 3 Extended Diploma

Develop proficiency in various industry-standard software and tools, including Unity3D, Unreal Engine, Blender, and Maya.

Delve into 3D modelling techniques, developing the art of creating game-ready assets.

Begin to develop the skills you need to make exciting mechanics and engaging level designs.

Undertake the design and creation of 2D games and prototypes, honing your skills in game design and development.

Explore concepting and creating your own stylised game-ready 3D assets. and creating and animating a full 3D character, learning skills such as anatomy modelling, retopologising, clothing, and more.

Refine your skills and extend your professional experience, while getting support to make decisions around your best next steps, including guidance through the university application process and development of your working style.

Specialise, and create materials including a portfolio that reflect you as a creative.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

At least four GCSEs at grades 9-4 (A*-C), including English (other grades will be considered on a case by case basis).

MATHS AND ENGLISH

If you are 16-18 and don’t already have GCSE Grades 4 or above in mathematics and/or English Literature or Language, it will be compulsory for you to do a GCSE level maths and/or English course alongside your studies with us. Learn more here.
