This exciting session will get students working in teams and thinking creatively as they exercise their employability skills in a Game Jam. Students will get into groups of five and work together to come up with a concept for a computer game that they will pitch to the rest of the group, exercising their creative and communication skills in the process.
In developing their game idea, students will explore concepts including PEGI certification, primary and secondary audiences, representation and monetisation.
This session will introduce students to the exciting world of the creative industries and the wider creative economy. Students will learn about the various sectors that make up the creative industries before taking part in fun interactive activities, including mythbusting popular misconceptions about creative careers and sorting creative roles by their sector.

Bring a group of interested students to your local ACC centre for a tour of our facilities and a creative careers talk. We will also try to include a performance by an ACC student band or artist. As a part of your campus tour we can also deliver a 1 hour taster session in Music, Media or Games.
