Summary
As an apprentice at Watford Palace Theatre, you will work towards a Level 3 Creative Venue Technician Apprenticeship while gaining valuable skills working on a variety of shows. One day a week will be allocated to college work. This day will be scheduled flexibly to fit with college and department requirements. This apprenticeship will provide a fantastic springboard for your future career. You will be involved in all aspects of the Technical Team’s work, including working shows, fitups and get-outs and contributing to the maintenance of the theatre’s systems.
Desired skills required:
- No formal skills are required just a keen interest in theatre.
- Prior experience is useful and should be supported by a portfolio of evidence.

- Enjoy working as a team.
- Open minded with a willingness to learn and be trained.
- A proactive and professional manner with good timekeeping.
- A conscientious approach; accurate and with an eye for detail.
- Ability to take feedback and follow instruction precisely.
- Ability to use initiative in identifying problems and work with the team to find solutions.
Desired qualifications:
- GCSE in English & Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
